A slice of poetry

 
I found this slice of poetry by English poet John Masefield the other day that sums up my more hopeful, optimistic contemplations on politics.

"I have seen flowers come in stony places
  and kind things done by men with ugly faces
  and the Gold Cup won by the worse horse at the races

  So I trust, too"
